Flushable wipes are a very popular product and are at times a lifesaver. Did you know that flushable wipes are not always truly flushable? There is a great alternative to flushable wipes. This is especially true if you have a septic system. They get lodged into the pipes and when they create a big enough blockage, you are left with an expensive plumbing issue.

An Amazing Alternative to Flushable Wipes

Flushable Wipes Alternative

Personal hygiene after we use the bathroom is frankly something we don’t discuss. It’s considered private and taboo. While it’s true that it is a personal issue, there are times we need to discuss it with others that understand our issues. If you have a chronic illness there can be times where dry toilet paper either does not do a complete job of cleaning after a bowel movement or is to harsh on sensitive areas.

I know personally, I suffer from IBS, and at times from being constipated, I will develop hemorrhoids. While flushable wipes do help, they can be expensive over time. I recently had the opportunity to review a new product from Fohm Co. They offer a cleaner that when added to their dispenser it becomes foam. Game changer!

It’s easy to set up your Fohm Co. dispenser for use. The dispenser itself needs to be charged via the USB cord to make it truly hands-free. To add the liquid cleaner, you screw off the top part of the dispenser and add the liquid cleaner. The bottle needs to be squeezed a lot so if you have arthritis in your hands, you may need someone to help you to add it.

The cleaner itself is a paraben-free, pH balanced and fragrance-free version of what you find in a baby wipe from a national brand. One bottle of cleanser lasts for 6 weeks. Cleanser refills are $7 for a 1 month supply. If you love the product you can sign up for a refill subscription where they send you a new bottle of the cleanser every month.

I personally found this product to be an answer to my sore and sensitive bottom. It’s a great convenience that it is hands-free and sits on the back of the toilet. I did find that the hands-free sensor is VERY sensitive. It takes a few minutes to find the ideal spot in your bathroom for it so you are not accidentally waving your hand under the sensor.

The Fohm Co. alternative to flushable wipes is much more convenient and cost-efficient. One bottle lasts a month and you don’t have to worry about trying to open a container to cleanse yourself after using the toilet. I also love that it saves on septic tanks and sewer systems. Now you don’t have to worry about a costly plumbing bill, or having to hide a used nasty wipe in your bathroom garbage.

If you are a regular user of flushable wipes?

I highly recommend trying this alternative to flushable wipes. You won’t be sorry.
