And when the weather’s nice, there’s nothing better than sending them out into the yard with some engaging outside toys to explore, play, and get a little messy. Whether you have a big backyard or a small patch of grass, having the right toys can make outdoor playtime so much more fun (and a whole lot easier for you).

So today, I’m sharing 20 of my favorite outside toys for toddlers that you can find on Amazon. These are perfect for keeping those little hands busy and bodies moving. Many of these outdoor toys are tried and true favorites that my grandson absolutely loves, and others come highly recommended by parents everywhere.

20 Outside Toys Toddlers Love

Inflatable Pool
You don’t need a big in-ground pool for summer fun. A small inflatable pool is perfect for toddler splashing and floating toys. Look for ones with built-in shade or sprinklers. I recently got an inflatable pool for my grandchildren and it was a hit! They absolutely love it. My grandson loves water and loves to splash around in it, while my granddaughter is not too sure about the water yet and will just sit on someone’s lap. It is a great way to cool off on a hot summer day.
Air Boats
Water toys are a must have if you have a pool. These adorable air boats are available in either Batman, or Spiderman. Spidey and Batman character boats are so much fun—just press down on the back of the boat to pump air into the head. Give it a few pumps, then let go and watch them zoom off!

Little Tikes First Slide
This classic toddler slide is a favorite for a reason. It’s sturdy, easy to set up, and just the right height for toddlers learning how to climb and slide safely. Bonus? It folds up for easy storage. My grandchildren have this slide in the traditional red and blue color scheme. Not only do they love to go down it themselves, my grandson loves to drive his cars down it.
Bubble Lawn Mower
This adorable push toy blows bubbles as your toddler mows the lawn beside you. It encourages walking and pretend play while adding a little bubble magic to their outdoor adventures. My grandkids absolutely love bubbles! They have a bubble machine and ask for bubbles all the time. I can only imagine the fun they would have with this bubble lawn mower.
Splash Pad Sprinkler
When the weather heats up, a splash pad is a must! These inflatable mats hook up to your garden hose and spray water in a shallow, safe space. Toddlers love stomping around and cooling off. My granddaughter loves water but is kind of weary of the pool because it’s bigger than she is. This splash pad sprinkler would be perfect for her!

A water table is an amazing for sensory play. Toddlers can splash, pour, scoop, and explore for hours. Some even come with spinning wheels, boats, and cup accessories. A water table it great for water play if you don’t have the space for a pool, or simply don’t feel like going into the pool that day.
