We all know that a wet wipe is the best way to clean up after using the toilet. The problem with wet wipes, however, is that they can be pricey and wasteful. But what if I told you there was another option? Toilet paper spray is a great way to help with turning dry toilet paper into a wet wipe.
Dry toilet paper can irritate your skin if you have bathroom issues. Flushable wipes are not actually flushable and can cause a lot of plumbing issues. It’s important to find an alternative to flushable wipes.
Dry toilet paper can cause irritation if you have any variety of illnesses that cause bathroom issues. We would love to use the soothing feeling of wet wipes but they are not flushable and the chemicals in them can also cause their own irritations to our sensitive skin. This is why I’m glad there are products like Pristine Cleansing Spray on the market.

Why I love this toilet paper spray

I suffer from irritable bowel syndrome and spend more time in the bathroom than I prefer to. I am always looking for ways to make it more comfortable to wipe. These cleansing sprays do the job quickly.
The spray comes 3 different sizes: 1 oz, 4 oz, and 32 oz. I love the 1 oz bottle because it’s small and compact, I can carry it easily in my purse with me for when I’m out of the house. The bottle has a screw-on cap so you can easily refill it with the 32 oz bottle as well.

The toilet paper spray from Pristine Cleaning Sprays is super easy to use. Just spray it on your toilet paper and wipe with it as normal. The spray is clear and has a great fresh floral scent to it.
I have sensitive skin and have to be careful of the products I use because of the chemicals. I did not have any breakouts and my bathroom experiences are a lot more pleasurable now.
What ingredients are in Pristine Cleaning Sprays?
Witch hazel (without alcohol) cleanses and soothes, and is known to be a gentle antiseptic and anti-inflammatory that can alleviate dry, irritated, or inflamed skin. Aloe and apricot oil soothe and nourish the skin. Pure Ylang Ylang oil provides a subtle botanical scent. Vegetable glycerin and Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides (fatty acids from coconut and palm oil) serve as a natural emollient to hydrate skin and lightly lubricate toilet tissue so it gently glides across the skin.
You can also create your own DIY toilet paper spray. I am personally not that crafty and prefer to just purchase these types of products. You need to compare the cost of the prepackaged products and how much it costs to buy the ingredients yourself. Sometimes you can make more of the same product by buying the ingredients yourself.
How to make your own toilet paper spray
It is not hard to make your own toilet paper spray. You can make it with only 5 simple ingredients. The great part about making your own, you can create a bottle to carry with you when you leave the house. I know there are many times when I am out in public and my IBS flairs up. Sometimes, the public bathroom has that cheap hard toilet paper that feels like sandpaper. It is easier to carry a small bottle of DIY toilet paper spray with me than it is my soft comfortable toilet paper.
To make your own DIY toilet paper spray all you need are the following ingredients:
- witch hazel
- aloe vera gel
- vegetable glycerin
- lavender essential oil
- Small (4-ounce) glass spray bottle
There are different recipes online to make your own. They are very simple to follow.
